We are a Scottish marketing communications agency with billings of £6.5 million and growing, making us one of the top 10 advertising agencies in Scotland and top 100 in the UK.

We are also part of Ten Alps plc which was co-founded by Bob Geldof in 1999 and over the following years has grown into a wide-ranging communications and media company, listed on the Stock Exchange.

Victor Covey

Executive Chairman

Vic Covey started his career as assistant advertising manager of Jenners, the Edinburgh department store, and went on to become advertising manager of Business & Finance Scotland magazine. In 1975 he established his own agency, Covey Advertising, which in 1997 became part of Osprey plc. Vic is a Fellow of the IPA, he has been Chairman of the Scottish IPA and was instrumental in setting up the Scottish Advertising Effectiveness Awards.

Vince Meiklejohn

Managing Director

Vince Meiklejohn has worked in advertising and marketing for over twenty five years, with client experience on top brands including Johnson and Johnson and Lloyds Bowmaker Finance Group. Vince has also worked for several well known advertising agencies and a wide range of Scottish, UK and international businesses, with a particular emphasis on the leisure sector, business to business and education marketing. Vince has a CAM diploma, is a member of the IPA and has an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Management School, where his dissertation topic was the 'Management of Creative People'. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Nitil Patel

Finance Director

A Chartered Accountant with a degree in Money, Banking, and Finance from Birmingham University, Nitil qualified with Sayers Butterworth and after 6 years moved into the media industry by joining Planet 24 Productions as a Financial Accountant. He has been the accountant for Ten Alps for the past 3 years, and has an in-depth knowledge of the economics and financial needs of all aspects of the events, radio and TV businesses. He became Financial Director for Ten Alps in June 2000.

Communications

Full service marketing communications agencies, Ten Alps MTD in Edinburgh and Ten Alps RMA in Fareham. Ten Alps Publishing, who’s services include contract publishing, advertising sales, subscription management and website development. Ten Alps Live, specialise in events and conference management and DBDA, are a specialist communication consultancy in corporate and social responsibility.

Broadcast

Ten Alps produces award winning factual television and radio programmes for a range of broadcasters including BBC, Channel 4, Discovery and Sky. Ten Alps' Brook Lapping is a 70% shareholder in the consortium that is behind Teachers TV. Other broadcast companies in the group include Blakeway/3BM, Hart Davies and Ten Alps TV.

Digital

Ten Alps Digital specialise in digital services, including websites, Internet TV, and Digital TV. Public TV is a free to access portal to high quality government, public sector, professional training, and business videos.
